Why aren’t there a lot of opportunities to actually roleplay as a character? There’s barely any real decision making, and most of the dialogue leads to the same conclusions and responses. I’m no stranger to games that are mixed bags, and am completely okay with putting up with things like bad UI, micro managing that isn’t super fun, or slow pacing to get to the good meat of a game.īut I can’t stand this game.
I’ve completed Wasteland 2 and 3, Fallout 1 and 2, Xcom and Xcom 2, Mutant Year Zero, Pillars of Eternity, among others. I love top-down tactical games, especially lately. After saying on a different sub how much I enjoyed Wasteland 3 and how I thought it was a great RPG from this generation, people really pushed DOS2, saying things like “If you think this game is good you haven’t played DOS2 yet lol.” Of course I had to give it a try. There are plenty of games that I like that I understand that others don’t, but I absolutely can’t stand it. Let me preface by saying I’m so glad that other people seem to find so much enjoyment in this game.
